| Description |
The mios_YYYYMMDD.txt is the MIOS radar data from a phased array radar of the Meteor and ionospheric Irregularity Observation System (MIOS) includes the power, range (km), doppler velocity and width (m/s) of backscatter echoes. The range and temporal resolutions are 2.5 km and 2 (or 3) min, respectively. The locations of irregularities detected by the MIOS radar were resolved by using spatial domain interferometry. The data includes zonal distance, height and SNR which are collected in the folder named Structure. The amplitude scintillation index (S4) data is collected from the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver collocated at Ledong station. The data includes UT time, S4, PRN, azimuth and elevation. The scaled GNSS satellite ray path length, the calculated scintillation intensity, the measured S4, the satellite elevation and azimuth are stored in Calculated Scintillation.txt. |
