Subject Three-component seismic event waveforms for seismic attenuation tomography

Description To investigate the lithospheric structure, thermal state, and geodynamic evolution beneath the Indo-Burma Subduction Zone, we conducted three-dimensional P-wave attenuation tomography in central Myanmar. The study used seismic data recorded by 71 stations deployed during the first phase of the China-Myanmar Geophysical Survey in the Myanmar Orogen (CMGSMO I) between June 2016 and February 2018. Earthquake events were selected from a deep-learning-based earthquake catalog, and high-quality P-wave attenuation measurements were obtained from 2,313 earthquakes. A total of 14,193 t* measurements were used to construct a three-dimensional P-wave attenuation model using a transdimensional Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo inversion method. The dataset contains the P-wave attenuation measurements and associated information used in the tomography, including earthquake and station locations and the resulting three-dimensional attenuation model.
