Title Drought cycles over the last 8, 200 years recorded in Maar lake Twintaung, Myanmar
Creator Guoqiang Chu
Subject Paleoclimate Change
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description The data sets are obtained from the sediment of Maar Lake Twintaung, Myanmar. Varves were identified and counted from the sediment thin sections under a polarizing microscope and a stereoscopic microscope. The GC analyses were per-formed using a SHIMADZU GC-2010 equipped with a DB-5MS capillary column (30 m ×0.25 mm ×0.25 mm) and a flame ioniza-tion detector. Compound-specific car-bon isotopic analyses were performed using a TRACE2000 gas chromatograph com-bined with MAT 253 isotope ratio mass spec-trometer. The weighted stable car-bon isotope compositions were calculated from long-chain n-alkanes (nC27-nC33).

Type Varvechronology is presnte as “before present(1950)”(BP) each centimeter. The weighted stable carbon isotope composition of long-chain n-alkanes are expressed as the PDB standard.
Format Varvechronology file in .xlsx format.
