Description To understand the upper mantle structures in northeast China, we collect seismic data from 313 regional seismic stations in northeast China to conduct Receiver Function (RF) study. The 313 regional broadband seismic stations belong to three seismic arrays: (1) 58 temporary stations from the NorthEast China Seismic Array to Investigate Deep Subduction (NECsaids) during 09/2009 and 12/2014, (2) 127 temporary stations from the NorthEast China Extended SeiSimc Array (NECESSArray, https://doi.org/10.7914/SN/YP_2009) between 09/2009 and 10/2010, and (3) 128 permanent stations from the China Earthquake Administration array (CEA, doi: 10.11998/SeisDmc/SN, http://www.seisdmc.ac.cn) between 07/2007 and 12/2014. For our RF analysis, we first acquired the teleseismic waveform data for earthquakes with magnitude larger than 5.2 and epicentral distances ranging from 30° to 90°. The three-component seismograms were then rotated into radial, transverse, and vertical components, windowed around the theoretical first P arrivals (-50 sec to 150 sec) and filtered with a bandpass filter of 0.02 – 2.0 Hz. We obtained the RF by deconvolving the vertical component from the radial component using a time-domain iterative deconvolution technique with Gaussian low-pass filter. The Gaussian parameter (a) is varied from a=0.5/0.75/1.0/1.5 (roughly corresponding to the corner frequency of 0.25/0.35/0.5/0.7 Hz) to conduct the frequency-dependent RF analysis. After the deconvolution, careful visual inspection is further conducted to remove bad traces with low coherence. Finally, the number of selected high-quality RFs is 67344 (in each frequency bands). The final RF waveform files are stored in the directories as: ./DeconvFrequency/station/YYYYMMDD_HHMM.network.station.eqr (e.g., /Deconv0.5/EN09/ 20121210_1653.DB.EN09.eqr). Earthquake information can be found on the USGS website (https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/search/).
