Title Seismic waveforms excited by the 2020 Nangqian Fireball
Creator Jinlai Hao
Subject Seismic waveform data
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description To reconstruct the trajectory of the 2020 Nangqian Fireball, we collect the broadband seismic data from the China Earthquake Network Center. There are three kinds of waveforms in this dataset.
(1) Unfiltered vertical records at four stations to show the different types of waveforms during the penetrating of the meteoroid.
(2) High-pass filtered waveforms of nine vertical components (cut frequency is 3.0Hz). The arrival time of the direct airwave is used to reconstruct the meteoroid's trajectory. The amplitude is normalized because we use the arrival time to constrain the trajectory.
(3) Low-pass filtered velocity waveforms (cut frequency is 0.8Hz) to indicate the characters of the Rayleigh wave.

Type There are three files named “unfilter_vertical_records.txt,” “highpass_filtered_records.txt,” and “lowpass_filtered_records.txt” corresponding to the three types of data in Description. The left and right lines are the time and amplitude in each file, respectively. UTC 23:22:00 on 22nd December 2020 is set to “0”. The station name is labeled above each time series.
