Title | The waveforms data of the P-wave receiver function from the dense stations in Tian Shan and Altai, Xinjiang |
Creator | Dongyang Liu |
Subject | Waveforms of P-wave receiver functions (P-RF) |

Description | In order to constrain the structure of the mantle transition zone in Chinese Tian Shan, we performed receiver function analysis using seismic data from 56 temporary seismic stations (GP and CO network). The GP network operating from May/2018 to Apr/2019. And the CO network operating from Oct/2018 to Apr/2021 under the project of “3D Joint Inversion and Geodynamic Numerical Simulation of Geophysical Exploration 800km from Altai-Tian Shan Mountains”. We selected earthquake events with magnitude ≥5.2 and epicentral distance of 30°-90°, and use the time-domain deconvolution algorithm to calculate P-wave receiver functions. Finally, this database is stored in the directories with SAC files as: ./network/station/network.station.YYYY.DDD.HH.MM.SS.eq* (e.g., ./Altai/BAET/GP.BEAT.2018.153.09.48.09.eqr) |

Type | P-RFs have a sampling rate of 20 Hz and a length within the time window of -10s before and 90 s after the zero time. The zero time is the arrival time of direct P wave. |
Format | These P-RFs data are stored in the standard SAC format can be read by SAC, Obspy, MATLAB and so on. |
