| Description |
The radar at Sanya (SY) is for signal transmission and reception. The radar at Ledong (LD) is only configured to receive signals transmitted by the Sanya radar. These data include time (UT, TIME), range, altitude (H), signal-to-noise ratio (snr), elevation Angle (ELE), azimuth Angle (AZI), longitude (LON) and dimension (LAT). The prefix of Ledong data is ‘LD_*’, and the prefix of Sanya data is ‘SY_*’. A combination of multiple other kinds of generally used parameters/indices in lower atmospheric and meteorological studies are employed for comparative analysis. These data include cloud top height (CTH), cloud base height (CBH), K index (KI), and brightness temperature (BT). These data have all been prefixed with the abbreviations of their respective names. |
