Description | To gain a better knowledge of sedimentary and crustal structures beneath the easter Tarim Basin and northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, we deployed a dense seismic array consisting of 481 short-period stations. Most seismometers have a corner frequency of 20 seconds, while fewer than 10% have a corner frequency of 5 seconds. The profile begins in the eastern Tarim Basin, crosses the Altyn Tagh Range, and ends in the western Qaidam Basin. Earthquake events were selected with magnitudes ≥ 5.2 at epicentral distances between 28°and 95° to calculate the P-wave receiver functions. A time-domain iterative deconvolution using 6 different Gaussian parameters (agauss) was used to calculate these receiver functions. After careful visual inspection, 8209 P-RFs were selected for the structural inversion. The database is stored in the directories with SAC files as: ./MultiRF/Station/AGagauss/Station No._YYDDD_HHMMSS.eq* (e.g., ./MultiRF/AE_1001/AG3/1001_21263_202526.eqr). |

Type | The receiver function waveforms are stored with a sampling rate of 20 Hz and length of 80 sec (40 sec before and 40 sec after zero). |
Format | Vertical and radial P-RFs are stored in standard SAC format with ‘.eqz’ and ‘.eqr’ extensions, respectively. In the header of each SAC file, necessary information such as locations of station (STLA: latitude; STLO: longitude; STEL: elevation) and earthquake (EVLA, EVLO, EVDP), sampling interval (DELTA), and ray parameter (USER4) has been given. These SAC formats can be read using SAC, Obspy, MATLAB, et al. |
