Title OVATION-AACGM and OVATION-Dipole Modeled Auroral Distribution Data with Analysis Code
Creator Xiukuan Zhao
Subject Northern Hemisphere, OVATION, AACGM, Dipole, Auroral Forecast Model, DMSP/SSUSI, Ground-Based Validation
Publisher Xiukuan Zhao
Description This dataset contains modeled auroral intensity distributions and comprehensive validation materials for comparing OVATION-AACGM and OVATION-Dipole (original OVATION Prime 2010) models. The OVATION-AACGM model enhances the physical interpretability of mid-latitude aurora visibility by integrating the AACGM v2 coordinate system, which better represents the actual geomagnetic field topology in mid-latitude East Asia.
